Materials Specific to HSTP Content

Inventory of Transportation Providers
Printable pdf of the transportation providers serving the Peninsula region, including public transit, tribal transit, health center shuttles, elder and senior services, community-based and non-profit organizations, and private carriers. This is Chapter 3 in the full HSTP report. Any additional providers we learn of will be added to the online HSTP and to the final draft of the printable HSTP report before it goes to the PRTPO Executive Board for approval in October.

Includes searchable database of Local Transportation Programs available in Clallam, Jefferson, and Kitsap Counties. (Be sure to look under L for Local Transportation).

Transportation Resources for the South Sound
Includes downloadable Transportation Directory for Mason, Thurston, and Lewis Counties as well as materials geared towards health providers to help them connect patients with needed travel support, individuals, and people who help others with mobility assistance.

Paratransit Services Reference Guide
This helpful resource developed by the North Olympic Health Network clearly spells out the procedures a person must go through to qualify for Non-Emergency Medical Transportation (NEMT) by Paratransit Services for Medicaid-related medical travel. Paratransit Services is the NEMT broker for all four counties in the Peninsula Region. This is a great example of mobility management being conducted by a human services provider to help connect their clients with the mobility resources they need. It is also insightful as to why some who most need this service find the intake process too cumbersome to complete without help.
